25 Hearthfire

I spent the morning wandering wandering the city. Dragonstar is split down the middle by a fortified wall. One side is part of Skyrim, the other part of Hammerfell. The empire staffs the various entrances in the wall, mediating between the two sides. Dragonstar has been this way since the peace treaty - although it doesn't seem much like a resting peace. There are a lot of guards on each side of the city, matched by the Imperial presence - Dragonstar almost seems more like a garrison than a city.

I met Aygme in the inn at lunchtime. She turned the hunter

into a boar because he couldn't keep his hands to himself. Aygme said that if I really wanted, I could purchase her the ingredients for a potion she would brew to turn him back, but a pig he shall remain. She bought me a mug of gyrrg for siding with poetic justice.

After lunch I paid for passage on a carriage to Karthwasten. No sign of the alchemist's husband, but at least I told the guards of two cities about the reward.
