A thunderstorm ended my invasion of these insects' home however, and I scurried along the road, ducking under the entryway of Fort Moonmoth to attempt to wait out the storm. The southern road leading into Balmora crosses very nearly underneath the Silt Strider dock, and I was once again awestruck by the size of these creatures: outlandish looking insects with no recognizable features save their appendages: their heads are incredibly small compared to the

rest of their bodies and nestled under layers of chitin sheathing.

The difference in architectural styles is dizzying: Balmora is a Dunmer city, not an imperial settlement, and the buildings are a labyrinth of interconnected cube-shaped adobes.
