I fell asleep immediately after finishing yesterday's entry and woke so early that some of the inn's patrons were still awake, wiling the night away with drink. I headed east, back toward fort Moonmoth, gathering along the sides of the road until I crested a small hill and found a donkey-sized quadrupedal beast with mouthparts between a butterfly's and an antlion's eating a person's corpse at the crossroads ahead of me. It did not sense me, and I turned back safely.

I passed Balmora, following the Odai River South. I encountered a

Dunmeri doorway nestled into the rock face at the back of a draw - the inscription was in Dunmeris: A word or name I do not recognize, followed by "ancestor tomb". I continued along before somebody chanced upon me and took me for a grave robber. I gathered herbs and plants until I reached the entrance to a mine facing a wooden footbridge across the river. I spoke briefly with two miners outside taking a break from their work, crossed the footbridge, and gathered my way back to Balmora along the opposite side of the river. The warm rains that began around sunrise grew into another thunderstorm by what I would guess to be noon.
