when I reached the ridge - a bizarre creature:
They are very large, almost reptilian birds, completely featherless, with leathery wings like a bat's, and a dorsal fin of the same taut skin both above and below their body, bisecting it down the middle.
I am guessing them to be carnivorous for a few reasons: from the name, I assume they nest in the cliffs - it attacked me from a great distance, and, after killing it (thank Azura I decided to purchase the shield and helmet), I did not find anything resembling a nest in the cliffs nearby, from which I can only assume that it understood me as
prey rather than a threat. Secondly, their large beaks are filled with tooth-like, backwards-facing serrations on the insides of their beaks, with a long, bristled tongue like a cat's.
In my search for a nest, I found myself most of the way up the ridge between the swamp and the Odai river, so I scrambled my way over.
