few of my potions that were decent for more than a fair price, and I sold the rest around town, earning a good sum of money. I went immediately to the armorer and learned about the guards' style of armor while there: bonemold! My assumptions were incorrect: it is not actual chitin; it only looks to be. It is made from powdered bone that is mixed with several stages of resins (the armorer wouldn't tell me what kinds, or didn't know) and formed in molds to create exceptionally durable, lightweight armor. Not only did I manage to learn about it, but I bought a currias, greaves, and boots! With the last of my money I bought a tent, and a lovely heavy woven

blanket to fortify the thin leather's warmth. Must be imported - I have seen no furred creatures save rats so far.

I am currently camped under the same pair of mushrooms as before. The armor has given me the confidence to go talk to these two egg poachers - surely I am glib enough and armed enough to prevent a confrontation and come away with a similar resoution as murder.
