I spent the morning sightseeing. I did a lap of the outer walkways of most of the Cantons, going as far as the temple before turning back around. There's a massive stone suspended in the air above the temple, just off to one side. A temple aide cleaning the flagstones outside told me that Vivec - the god, not the city - keeps "the moonlet" suspended above the city through the force of their will.
I was told by the innkeeper that under one of the Cantons, I have already forgotten which, there is an arena where slaves and gladiators do battle for entertainment and
glory, but I couldn't find it.
I have been thinking about opening a practice: of any of the cities I have encountered, Vivec seems like the place to do it. From what I could tell, there are very few storefronts in the residential cantons, and it could be a good place to open a shop. I admit my musing on the matter has remained nebulous - even as I write complications arise, unbidden, looming. Namely among them is the matter of supply.
