All-in-all not a bad day: Ranis reacted with uncharacteristic glee, I gathered together as many reagents as I can reasonably carry, and bottles as well as some tiny waterskins - potionskins - need to make sure I fill them with things that won't react with the leather or the pitch inside. All very cheap!
I told Ajira goodbye properly after regaling her with the tales of the instances her potions saved my life. She showed me how to increase the potency of lightning shield potions in a way that doesn't harm the user. Requires a good amount of magickal aptitude that I do not
posses, sadly, but the potions become so effective (I serve as living proof) that it could be worth hiring somebody to infuse magicka into the second distillation.
Perhaps creating a seperate first distillation of magicka, then mixing it into the second distillation would produce the same, albeit unstable, result. A solution would be to try to devise a tripartite container with the shield potion, the magicka distillation, and a catalyst that will produce effects similar to a second distillation when the three are mixed, either in the container or in the imbiber's body.
